Volunteer registration
Registration of volunteers is done over the internet on a public page in the system.
The page is divided into 7 sections.
-
General information
In this section the volunteer enters demographic information such as name, address, phones, e-mail, gender,
date of birth.
-
Skills
In this section the volunteer enters information about skills that may be useful to the committees such as
spoken languages, possession of a valid drivers license, other information useful to the committees.
-
Availability
In this section the volunteer indicates when he/she is available to be performing tasks for the committees.
-
Health information
In this section the volunteer can indicate if there are special considerations that should be taken regarding
his/her health.
-
Other information
In this section the volunteer indicates what committees he/she is interested in working for, what tasks he/she
is interested in performing, what size clothing should be issued.
-
Security check
In this section the volunteer must accept that the games administration performs a background check. If the
volunteer does not accept this the application cannot be submitted.
-
Login information
In this section the volunteer enters a password. This password together with a login id that is issued by the
system enables the volunteer to re-enter the system and review or change the information
When the volunteer submits the application all fields are validated and if no errors exist the volunteer is
given a unique number and a status of registered before the information is stored in the database.
If the volunteer has entered an e-mail address in the general section an e-mail is automatically sent to the
volunteer with information that the application is registered and the login credentials to be used to re-enter
the systems.
The systems automatically logs the volunteer on with the issued credentials and reloads the page. The volunteer
can now upload his/her picture to the systems.
