Newfoundland and Labrador Games

Designed to generate participation in sport, foster sportsmanship and develop athletic skills, the Newfoundland and Labrador Games is considered by some participants to be the highlight of their sporting experiences. The Games are also a fantastic opportunity to reinforce messages and practices around healthy eating as the Newfoundland and Labrador Games compete for three awards:

The Premier's Cup, The Sport NL Trophy, and the Lieutenant Governor's Award.

Each Newfoundland and Labrador Games involves up to 1600 athletes, coaches, and managers competing in a variety of sports and requires hundreds of enthusiastic and hard-working volunteers. A successful event entails true dedication and considerable planning by the Host Committee.
